I have always loved the question “if you could go back in time and change something what would you do?” Like I think one of the most impactful things you could do is teach your favorite people germ theory. Watch them thrive!
I loved Years of Rice and Salt by KSR where we get to explore how with a small tweak to a disease the world could have looked much much different.
Or there’s the ever fun discussion of “could you kill baby Hitler?”
Anyway, anyone know books that explore these themes? It doesn’t have to be time travel necessarily but I’d like to explore “alternate” universes that aren’t like magic.
