Recently, I've been picking up reading, and it's been great. So, I've been taking a book with me when I do errands. Today while taking my grandma to the doctor I asked why she didn't have a book to read with her. She didn't really answer why but instead just said she would love to have some scripture (she is a very devoted Mexican Catholic woman).
I told her not to read Scriptures, but rather stories, adventures, or something nice to read, which she liked the idea of. She noticed what I was reading and asked me about my book, which I didn't know how to answer cause it was a book recommendation. I'm reading "One More for the Road," which I had a friend tell me that his therapist recommended to him.
She then asked me if I knew any good therapeutic books for her to read, but I didn't know any.
So I'm asking if you guys have some good recommendations for my 70-year-old grandma to read. She's been feeling down and I think a good book would do wonders for her especially since she's planning to take a trip back to Mexico.
