I hope the title makes sense. When I read contact I was just left awed by how science could be so beautiful and connective and the passion for her field that the main character carried since she was a child was so lovely to read. I’d like to read other books like that but in my field of anthropology if that’s possible. It’s hard to compare with the whole “exploring the stars” wonder but if there’s anything close it would be cool to try.
Annihilation would be a good example for a biologist for instance. Just wonder and passion for the main characters field of science is always really nice to read.
So something like Annihilation or Contact but for anthropology 🙂
