Looking for some romance book recommendations! Doesn't have to be strictly romance. As the title says, I do love these tropes. In order tropes I'm looking for are:

    • Pregnancy Trope – main couple has to be the bio parents, I don't care for the FMC having someone else's baby the MMC steps in for.
    • Hidden Relationship
    • Enemies to Lovers
    • Forced Proximity
    • Grumpy/Sunshine

I also really appreciate books with good world building and characters beyond the main pairing.

I don't want anything too corny, I want to feel some angst but also giddy and rooting for the main couple. Preferred F/M main couple, but not exclusively looking for that.

Definitely want to avoid any of these attributes though:

    • Graphic SA or Violence. I think there is a fine line where this can be apart of a character's history or story, but I don't want it to feel gratuitous nor excessively graphic.
    • Major misogynistic vibes. Women aren't objects are I don't want to feel the FMC is hollow or just succumbing to patriarchal standards for the sake of it.
    • An undeveloped MMC
    • Love triangle
    • Major miscommunication trope
    • Second chances
    • Hidden baby (love pregnancy tropes, but HATE hidden baby trope lol)
    • Not 100% but no fantasy, I prefer a modern setting but down for historical settings.

I know that's a laundry list, lol, but if anyone has any recommendations from a book or series that might fit this bill – please refer away! I'm also very down for a series with multiple pairings if any of the stories fit this bill. I love a well built world that is interesting. For reference, I absolutely LOVED the Crazy Rich Asians series and thought Kevin Kwan's world building was really well done, as it was my favorite part about that whole series. I'm also working my way through the Irish Murder Mystery series by Carlene O'Connor and I am enjoying it – it just feels a bit repetitive reading them all back to back and want something to read in between to space them out.

    Thanks in advance!
