My partner and I have been dealing with an episode of retrospective jealousy. When she shared her past, I took a lot of time to process it. I went to therapy, journaled consistently, and worked through it. Now, we’re in a better place and are resolving conflicts more constructively.
But honestly, this has caused a lot of burnout for me. I’m just tired of the constant overthinking, the intrusive thoughts, and the habit of labeling and analyzing everything.
Right now, I feel the need to ground myself or redirect my mind. I want to read something that feels therapeutic. Ideally, something that is easy to read, can add meaning to struggle, or, explores existential questions, or even gives me ideas to have more subtle romance with my wife.
