Hi, I’m 22F and i’m looking for book recs that would be easy to read for someone getting into reading. I used to love reading in my native language as a teen and also read a few books every summer in middle and high school in english. In college, I didn’t read many books for leisure, also my attention span has gotten really bad.

In college, I only read Normal People after ages. This year, my resolution is to get back into reading. I picked up “As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow” in mid January and finally finished it last week after procrastinating for a while. I really enjoyed the book and felt connected to the characters. Ik there are similar historical fictions but I don’t want to read similar genres back to back.

I’m looking for your favorite recs. I don’t really know what exactly to specify so I will leave some things that comes to my mind.

    – I don’t enjoy reading fantasy much.

    – Used to love romance. The Selection series was my all time favorite back in the days. However, I don’t want generic romance books.

    – Would love a book with romance as a subplot instead of the entire plot, but with a strong romantic storyline

    – Something that keeps me wanting to read

    – Also if you could list some books everyone should read regardless of my criteria I’d love to know!
