I want to totally quit social media and start reading books. I keep pulling my phone out every time I am at any place where even the slightest 'wait' is involved. I work as a accessibility driver, so I have some down time between pickups of 2 passengers. To start reading during this downtime, I took a library membership and borrowed a book > Read a few pages for a couple days > Found book boring > got back on social media > Started pulling out social media again > book returning date arrived, if I hadn't gotten the time to return the book email, that book would probably be rotting, but I saw that email, and decided to try again > returned and borrowed another book > book boring > now social media.

Suggest me some books that give that 'Dopamine hit'. That 'Holy shit, what happens after this, let me look forward to knowing what happens next instead of doom scroll', 'wow this is an interesting book, I would like to read more like these' type of vibe.

I would say my level of English vocabulary is average, so please don't suggest books with words that I will have to look up on the internet for now. Once I get comfortable with reading, I will then start to challenge my vocabulary.

I would also be narrating the book while i read cause I want to become a more fluent speaker. I have this slight language specific stutter (no stutter in native language, Stutter only in English) and end up using filler words. Suggest me plethora of books.

"Help me become a better me and the world will help you become a better you" – IDK, Me?

    Thank you all.
