I just borrowed The Lord God Made Them All by James Herriot from my library. i was really excited to read about animal care and the country side. I=I started reading it and it's a bit childish, a bit like a series of little fables.
Does anyone has any recommendations of a book on the same theme, but more serious/realistic, and with a longer storyline?
