This is super specific, I know! I read Kristin Hannah’s the Women last year, about a woman who becomes a nurse in Vietnam, and although the book was silly because it was centered on an unbelievable love story, I really liked the war parts, especially since it was from the point of view of a nurse. The ER ward scenes were really cool. I looked online for similar books and I was advised to read The Thing They Carried, about the Vietnam War, but I didn’t like it nearly as much. It was definitely the ER/medical side that captivated me in The Women.
Anybody has suggestions on books that would have similar content?
