His birthday is coming up soon. I'm looking to gift him a fantasy book (sole/trilogy) that:
– is very protagonist focused, he loves stories that focus on the main character's story and character arc. If it's a male character going through adversity, that's perfect but other kinds work as well.
– has very strong worldbuilding and fantasy elements, that's his favourite genre! Something well-paced and gripping, so he doesn't drop it midway.
(historical fiction that meets these two criteria helps too! :))
