I'm in my early 30s and I've noticed my friendships have shifted over the last few years. Less spontaneous hangs, more scheduled calls. Some friends have drifted away, others have become closer. I'm looking for a book (fiction or narrative nonfiction) that really captures the complexity of adult friendship. Not just the feel-good parts, but the awkwardness, the drifting, the quiet disappointments, and also the unexpected depth. I've read My Brilliant Friend and loved it. Anything similar that made you rethink your own friendships or see them in a new light? Bonus if it's not primarily a romance in disguise. Thank you.
