Hi guys,I usually pick books based on my mood… and my mood is heavily influenced by what I’m listening to. I’ve never been a one-genre reader, but romance is definitely my safe place.
Anyway, I was doing chores while listening to Forget Me by Lewis Capaldi, and this part stuck with me:
🎶Well, I'll take all the vitriol But not the thought of you movin' on
'Cause I'm not ready To find out you know how to forget me
I'd rather hear how much you regret me
And pray to God that you never met me Than forget me🎶
And suddenly I had this very specific craving.
I need a book that feels exactly like that.
Something second-chance-ish… where they were in a real relationship, broke up, and then meet again years later. But here’s the part I’m aching for: the male lead is still stuck on her, still can’t move on… and when he sees her again, she seems completely fine. Like she actually forgot him. Like she moved on for real.
If you have recs that capture this vibe, please help me 😭
