I'm looking for a book with the same/a similar premise to The Magnus Archives (a skeptical detective unravels a supernatural mystery and realizes its scale is much bigger than they initially thought). Preferably not gory as I don't like gore and skip all those parts. The mystery is the most fun to me. I also love when details are spread across the story like a puzzle.
