i am currently reading napoleon and josephine by evangeline bruce. the book is very interesting but im curious to learn more about josephine. bruce is not afraid to show napoleon as the misogynist he was, and she mentioned that many napoleon biographers have ignored or warped aspects of josephines story to fit their reverent vision of napoleon. so i am wary of books written by admirers of napoleon, i want something that explores how his obsession and abuse affected and possibly changed her. thanks 🙂
