Looking for a book about growing up in Quebec during the 50s/60s/70s.

I'm missing my Dad and he lived in the Montreal area in the 50s-70s. I just thought maybe a book about life in that time might make me feel closer to him.

It doesn't necessarily need to be about growing up there, just life in Montreal or Quebec around that time would be good.

Please no romance or horror.

Or books that involve someone dying, I've had enough of death.
