i 23F am interested in psychology. i am interested in humans, the way they work and act, the why’s and the mysteries of why they do certain things. i am already reading some psychology books that are your typical psych books: informational, educational on a surface level etc. but im looking for something that would have gotten someone hanged back in the medieval times if they were caught reading it if you know what i mean, kind of like a hidden gem. i want to go beyond psychology, i want to dig into the nerves of the human race. i want it to be something considered controversial, something that would get me hunted down by the govt (exaggerating) something not everyone has read, and would give me like a “third eye opening” type of experience. i would much prefer older/antique/vintage books but i am keeping an open mind!! any suggestions would be so much appreciated!! i no longer enjoy surface level knowledge. feel free to make any suggestions involving books about personology, PHILOSOPHY!!, humanism etc. thank you !!! 🙂
