I mainly read sci-fi/triller/light horror, but I’m trying to branch out a little bit.
Some books I start and they are so tedious that it’s a pain to get through them. I’m looking for a book, any genre, where it’s captivating and engaging from the very first page. I don’t want to be able to put it down.
I have very few specifications, otherwise, I’m open to anything.

I would prefer something on the “shorter” side, under around 350 pages.

Not into romance unless the book is actually good and there is a good supporting story.

Thats really it! otherwise I also enjoy stories with strong female protagonists. if you must suggest romance, make it sapphic. No dead dogs.
