I’m usually a romantasy or historical romance girlie, but I’m getting a little bored/overwhelmed with them, so I’m looking to branch out into contemporary. I’ve really read hardly anything in this genre, but here are things I like and don’t like:

Enemies to lovers (may make an exception if the MMC is not actually mean to her)
Teens/high school

Fluffy and sweet
Friends to lovers
Cinnamon roll MMCs
Grumpy/sunshine if he’s just grumpy and not actually mean and is sweet to her
Older MCs
Forced proximity (for the funny awkwardness)
Arranged marriage/marriage of convenience
Spice is fine but I don’t like when a book basically has no plot and is all about the smut, that’s not my style. I like more of a slow-burn progression or something.
