I know it sounds counterintuitive, but even though I love a good story, I haven't finished that many books, let alone started building a taste profile. None of the books I've completed so far have pulled me in or sparked any desire to read more and it's not an attention span problem, either. It feels like I'm being performative and idealize the concept of reading, but it's not like I don't read at all — I want to at least be somewhat educated. There's just no enjoyment there and I don't get all the hype around the act itself.
I'm 19 and enjoy time travel as a genre (or sub-genre?), but I'm looking to enrich myself and broaden my tastes, not constrict myself to one thing only lol. Still, time travel recs would also be greatly appreciated!
