i’m looking for audiobooks on audible to listen to. last year i listened to Imaginary Friends by Stephen Chbosky and I think about that book every day. it’s one that i dream to listen again for the first time. i just finished Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell and really enjoyed it. i’m currently listening to the follow up book The Curch Beneath The Roots. Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman is another one i listened to a couple months ago and it has sat with me. i’m looking for more books like this. haunting and spooky. i’ve appreciated the spiritual aspects/ relations to nature of Stolen Tongues and Imaginary Friends as well. i want to feel disturbed but nothing too absurd that it doesn’t feel real. (ex: The Slob by Aaron Beauregard. it was entertaining and fucked up but didn’t carry enough weight to stay with my long-term) I have One Last Child by Anni Taylor up next for rotation but am wanting more recs from book people.
