Hello there. I'm looking for a book that disects the pros & cons of choice femism. I would like a recommendation from anyone more educated on the subject.

As I currently understand it, choice femism is the movement against trying to put people into boxes. Rather than trying to be what a woman is "supposed to be" or trying to be more like a man to gain respect, choice femism goes against the ideas of sticking women into a box altogether. Those goals both put you in a box for what you're supposed to be like, just opposite boxes.

So choice feminism is the belief that taking any kind of reactionary stance that is "women should be…" will always be a losing battle, since you're just gonna swap to whatever box is in vogue in a fruitless endeavor to gain respect from those who won't. So it instead poses that people should let women be whoever they want. And steps away from the idea that people should be put into boxes based on their sex or gender. And that goals for equality should focus on tangible inequalities (legal rights, income gaps, autonomy to use your own body) rather than tying to define "what a woman should be".

And I'd like to read a book that disects the pros & cons of these ideas.
