I'm currently reading The Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante, it's a short novel from the perspective of a woman whose husband very suddenly announces that he doesn't love her any more, and leaves her for a younger woman. It's pretty gripping, though I'm now remembering why I didn't like Ferrante's style when I read the Neapolitan Quartet (My Brilliant Friend and its sequels).
Now I'm curious to find a novel that covers similar ground, but from the male perspective. That is, a man is left by his wife (or partner) and we see how he deals with it. I have done some googling and I'm finding very little – it seems like all the divorce novels come from the female perspective.
Fiction of the more literary type is my preference, if such a thing exists. Thanks in advance!

Yeah unfortunately the only other one that crosses my mind is the Wedding People, but thats also from a women’s perspective
The Dog of the South by Charles Portis.
A Handful of Dust by Evelyn Waugh.
Both funny, the latter significantly darker than the former.
That’s what Steinbeck’s _East of Eden_ is about!
Kramer vs Kramer?
