    Hi!

I am a public librarian assistant here in a small town in Pennsylvania. We have a 95 year old patron who is an absolute voracious reader, and we're struggling to find her books she hasn't already read. She is a shut in, so we voluntarily drive the books to her house.

    Shirley loves:

    Christian novels

Anything with animals / dog stories

    Autobiographies

    Cozy mysteries

And it has to be available in large print (I know most new books are nowadays, but wanted to throw that out there)

The more suggestions, the better! Shirley has read a lot of books in her lifetime, and has no plans on stopping!

Thank you all for your help 🙂

    1. Fiona Davis books might be fun- historical mysteries where there are stories in 2 time periods that connect somehow.

    2. Some authors that my mom likes for Christian novels are: Francine Rivers, Lori Wick and Dee Henderson. She might also like Gilbert Morris and his daughter Lynn Morris.

Who is the large print vendor at your library? My first stop would probably be to see if they have back issues of their promotional catalogs online – you can look for things you might have missed buying or Shirley might have missed reading!

How about all of the time books by Madeleine L’Engle? A wrinkle in time is definitely a young adult story, but when you read the entire series, you see how very much deeper the story goes. There’s a lot of Christian influence while perfectly combining science fiction and fantasy.
