I'm very new to this genre but I'm struggling to find the right books for me. I'd be grateful for any recommendations!
I want:
– to squee and kick my little legs up in the air with giddiness.
– Stories with a broody male lead (not cruel), and capable female leads.
– Not really into sex scenes.
– I need it to be well written with a fleshed out plot. I don't mind if the romance is secondary.
– I prefer character depth and world complexity. But I also dont mind something easy and accessible as long as it is well written. Don't mind young adult fiction.
Read recently:
– Half a Soul. I loved this so much, I like autistic coded characters, regency fairy stuff. Grumpy male lead who was not just mean for the sake of it.
– Emily Wildes. I liked the plot, I just found the male lead very annoying.
– Spinning Silver. Loved this book, I just wish there had been more romance. I felt there was depth to these characters.
– Starside. I thought this was atrocious. Juvenile writing, cruel male lead, and childish female lead.
