Hello! I’m trying to get a Christmas present for my mom, who is forever trying to chase the high of the Maisie Dobbs series. She loved Thursday Murder Club (like everyone else’s mom), didn’t seem to take to Flavia for unaccountable reasons, has liked various WWII lady spy books (including The Princess Spy). It can’t be too stressful, too dark, or, god forbid, have any sex in it. (I think inspector gamache might be a little much.)
