Looking for a book about a spanish child immigrant in a new country (Usa or canada)

i would also prefer if it was atleast anywhere before the 2010s. i am looking for early 2000s or atleast late 90s but any would do. i wanna see the child’s experience in the school and how they handle language barriers.
