Hi everybody,
I recently found my very old iPad Mini 2 and realized it could be the tool I needed to start reading again. I have already packed it up with my personal comic collection, but I want to find books to really dive in during this summer.
These are, more or less, the "genres" I'm looking for:
- Science, psychology, and sociology books, not necessarily academics, but I really like science divulgation. Books I have already read and love: God and the New Physics (Paul Davies), A Mind for Numbers (Barbara Oakley), This is Biology (Ernst Mayr) ,How to speak machine (John Maeda), How real is real? (Paul Watzlawick), Falling in love (Francesco Alberoni.)
- Philosophical novels, or essays. Books I have already read and love: The myth of Sisyphus (Albert Camus), Perfume: History of a murdered (Patrick Süskind), Blindness (Jose Saramago), Crime and Punishment (Fyodor Dostoevsky)
- Horror (Edgar Alan Poe or Lovecraft)
I only have one "genre" that I am not at all interested in reading, and it is motivational or religious books. Maybe if they have a critic angle but if the point is only to feel motivated or "saved" without further reflection, I am not interested.
Other than that, please feel free to recommend whatever you like. I do not mind having a list of hundreds of books. Maybe I will come back to this post in ten years to ask for more.
Thank you all.
