Okay so I'm working on writing a book and I have a really strong idea for it but I need reference of how to write certain aspects of it. The book I'm writing seems like a romance but is a horror so I need recommendations for books that are just generally good softer romance books, kind of like the cafe/flower shop/book shop AU type of romance(I will accept fanfictions) and horror/thriller books that can be gorey, just generally scary, maybe softer psychological horror. The caveat with the horror ones is I can't do certain types of "scary" content because it will trigger psychosis so like a lot of psychological horror is too much because they tend to lean into the derealization or unseen horror/paranoia type of thing.
Anywho the only specifics I need for my book are gore, a little bit of generally creepy atmosphere(like if there isn't anything scary actually happening but the writing feels like you're ramping up to something scary or in a potentially dangerous situation, like the feeling of being in or looking into the woods at night), anything with a charismatic character in a romantic setting, as I said above the softer romantic vibes that the flower shop AU type stories tend to have, and if there's any good books written to be in the 1800's mostly for the actual dialogue and phrasing.
Any recommendations are appreciated! Even if it doesn't fit any of those descriptors but you feel like it's a good read for any aspiring writers I'd also accept those.
