My mom used to be an avid reader, primarily fiction, but had been in a reading slump for half a decade. We were talking about a new series my wife and I have been reading lately and she mentioned she’d like to start reading again. I’m not sure where to begin to look. Shes mid 60’s, no major life changes although she is getting close to retirement.
Lately she’s been enjoying shows like Yellowstone, Succession, and the Righteous Gemstones. I got her hooked on the Wire finally and she absolutely loved it. She definitely like crime drama/ murder mystery stuff too.
She typically isn’t into Sci-fi and fantasy but there have been a few shows she’s enjoyed. Just not hard sci fi like Asimov or something.
Any advice is appreciated, a series she can get hooked on would be great.
