So I really love to read but the last few books I have picked out just haven't been able to keep my attention. I'm currently reading world war z and my husband's wife by Alice feeney. They are both interesting but don't have me hooked. I need something absolutely gripping.
Tell me the books you physically couldn't put down and when you had to put them down you were counting down the minutes to be able to read them again. Also please have the twist actually hold up to some scrutiny. It doesn't have to be perfect but there are a lot of books where if you think about it for more than a second it falls apart.
I like high pace stories with plenty of tension in them. I liked:
the clinic by cate quinn.
You deserve to know by Aggie blume thompson.
Guillotine by Delilah s. Dawson
And tell me what you did by Carter Wilson.
Some things I absolutely hate in books:
animal abuse = instant dnf.
When there's been no indication of supernatural entities existing in the world and then they wrap up the mystery by saying it was supernatural all of a sudden.
And twists that just feel like you were lied to for the last 250 pages…. The silent patient
I will probably be listening to these suggestions so if it also has a great narrator bonus points.
