Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some book recommendations to help me completely reshape how I handle money.
To give you some context, I am completely new to this. I haven't read a book in probably 8 years, and back then, it was only fiction. I lost interest in reading entirely, so my attention span for books isn't great right now. I need something engaging that won't immediately put me to sleep.
The Problem:
I am incredibly weak when it comes to managing my finances. On paper, I make a great living—honestly, more than the average person. But by the end of every month, I am always in debt. My biggest issue is that I constantly spend more than I earn, always leveraging and spending "future money" that isn't even guaranteed yet. It's a stressful cycle, and I need to break it.
What I've been told to look into:
People have suggested a few titles to me already, including:
The Richest Man in Babylon
The Psychology of Money
Rich Dad Poor Dad
The Art of Spending Money
What I need from you:
Since I'm basically starting from scratch as a reader, which of these (or other books) is the best, most practical starting point for someone who struggles with impulsive spending and lifestyle inflation?
Thanks in advance for helping a beginner out!
