basically whats said in the title, i read When Among Crows/To Clutch a Razor by veronica roth and thought the monster hunter's magic was super thematically interesting, especially with the undercurrent of religion and piety and bargaining for magic, all wrapped up in a bloody messy bow
But we didnt get to see a lot of that because the people weilding that magic were villains, and the books themselves are short, but i would really love a longer book that showcased a similar magic system (essential ones that use magic at great consequence/have to bargain for it) and had a protagonist struggle through it more?
