recently read The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, though it wasn't exactly what i was looking for, i loved it.
other books i've loved with this these type of themes are Paradise by Edna O' Brien, Dream Work by Mary Oliver, and i think often about The Sakekeep by Yael Van der Wunden.
initially i was looking for a book like the movie Indian Summer (a camp focusing on the adults figuring out their lives, etc, etc.), it was pretty much impossible and found The Great Alone but i realized i was looking for a book that centered nature as a whole with the characters' stories unfolding in the middle (if that makes sense).
i thought about The God of the Woods and Beartown but honestly i'm not a fan of thrillers, horror, or mysteries… and Beartown seemed pretty dark for what i am going for.
i'm really into literary fiction, open to historial fiction, romance, art and/or music, that involve sports, travel or a classic (i normally love classics but i'm looking towards contemporary).
i guess i'm looking for that scenery of nature and character driven book with diverse characters and preferably a woman as an author, also contemporary if possible (2000's and up).
