Bout a third of the way through Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta, and feel I have finally found the style I’ve been looking for all this time. It’s not perfect (using “The Academy for a prominent location was a bad first impression), but it’s the only book I’ve read that truly feels like an anime in logic, tone, and energy.
