Books that are similar (in concept) to Hillbilly Elegy that are NOT Hillbilly Elegy

Appalachian culture and history really fascinates me, but I fucking hate JD Vance. Does anyone know of any nonfiction/memoirs that are based on that concept? Bonus points if it includes miners organizing unions.
