I can’t find another book that captivates me the same way as a song of ice and fired did

I’ve been trying to read other books, but nothing give me the same connection and feeling of a song of ice and fire from the characters to the plot to the way it’s written nothing can match. Can you give me some recommendations that will give me that same feeling about characters and like I need to know what happens next.
