Please suggest me some worthwhile reads based off my fav things to think/read about. Any genre. Recs don't have to include all of the below things.
Some my fav things:
- The OA – the mythology of it, the idea that the body is a portal
- The Blues – as a spiritual tradition. Grief that becomes transcendence.
- William S. Burroughs & cut-ups.
- Abiku – the Yoruba/Igbo spirit-child who keeps dying and returning, born between worlds, never fully claimed by the living.
- Stigmata – wounds as sacred the body bearing witness to something beyond itself
- Jazz musicians and addicts – Bird, Chet Baker, that specific genius-destruction frequency
- I'm Thinking of Ending Things – the way it dissolves the self, memory as unreliable architecture
