Please recommend me books to understand economics that shape policy decisions like poverty, education, healthcare etc which are relevant to the Indian population. I was initially interested in Duflo and Banerjee’s book Good Economics for Hard Times but some of the reviews mentioned it being more relevant for the American population and economy.
P.S. : I am from non economics background and intend to explore out of curiosity. I am not preparing for any exams. So kindly recommend books which are rooted in experimentation and relevance rather than dry theory.
