I recently read Ghost Mountain by Ronan Hessian. I picked it up in a large bookshop and something about it called out to me. I brought it a few months later, and it was definitely an example of do judge a book by its cover. I thought it was beautifully written and I’m keen on similar fable-like novels with the same vibe.
Back in the day, I loved The Alchemist and The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho, which I’d say have that similar feeling.
I like slightly spiritual but also grounded in people’s real imagined lives, something a bit magical yet simple. Anything set in interesting locations far away from the grey UK appreciated.
What have you got? 🙂
