How bout them stones?
My mom got them for my brother to encourage him to read and thought the cover art would appeal to him. It did not. But I read them and remember being pretty engrossed in the random riddles and fantastical descriptions. This would’ve been in late elementary school though.
I wonder how they would hold up now? I look for them at Half Price Books sometimes but am haven’t been able to find a copy to leaf through. I wonder if they are as smart as I regarded them back then…obviously when I say “smart” I mean for children’s literature.
