Quite a big fan of stories like Thackeray’s The Luck of Barry Lyndon which takes place during Europe’s Seven Years’ War and it occurred to me that I can think of no such novels that take place around the American Civil War.
Interested in any novel that involves the Civil War, but ideally not a ‘war book’ if that makes sense. Thank you!
