I just finished playing a gacha “Reverse: 1999” and one of the main things that I loved of it’s story is how the protagonist and their allies are as active as the antagonist. They can not only fight but also involved with mind games which is especially used in the politics of the setting. So if you want to recommend a book more focused on politics it’s fine. As long as the characters are interesting I don’t mind.
