I’m looking for suggestions for a 6yo child. She has quite the collection of books already. But I’m looking for slightly dark books. Nothing violent or anything, just a little dark.
All the stories this child makes up are slightly dark and dire. So I think she’ll enjoy books with a little darker tone. Her parents have approved this and trust my judgment.
I’ve picked out *Goodnight, Baphomet* because she likes the artwork. She thinks it’s all very cute and sweet.
Based on that, I’ve also picked out Maurice Sendak’s *Where the Wild Things Are* just for the story.
I was considering Ul di Rico’s *The Rainbow Goblins* as well. Bright, colorful pages with a bit of a dark story.
