I liked the premise, setting, and the main characters (Peter, except for his thirsting, Nightingale, Lesley, Molly, and Toby). Also, some of the more disturbing things (eg. faces “falling off”, rioting… ).
I didn’t like the side characters. The story was also a little nonsenical and convoluted with some irrelevant branches (the rivers especially, I very much liked the main plot more).
That being said, if anyone else have read the other books in the series, can I expect more of what I liked/less of what I disliked? Is it worth giving the rest of the books a try?
