[Fiction] Book about experiments on kids/teens/human.

The title might be disturbing but… let me explain.

I am currently playing an old MMO-RPG called Secret World Legends and I am on a mission/quest currently to investigate an organization that kidnapped children and did experiments on them to cause mutations or because they have supernatural genes, etc. Kinda like the Hawkins Lab in Stranger Things.

Now I am curious if there are some fiction book out there about this topic maybe some sci-fi or other stuff to maybe add to my book shelf.
