A New Year’s resolution of mine is to expand my vocabulary (not necessarily using them in every day conversation, but just knowing what more words mean). And one way I’ve been trying to do this is looking up and writing down definitions of words that I don’t know while I’m reading. I didn’t think this was going to be a problem, but in some books there’s quite a few words I am unfamiliar with, and pausing every few pages to google a word and write it down in a notebook is really taking me out of the flow of reading.
Has anyone had a similar experience/have advice? I don’t want to not look up words because it changes the meaning but the interruption to my flow is driving me crazy.
