For context, this was my first pd book and seeing everyone talk about how “good” her books were, I was like okay let’s try it out. Clearly, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. Corrupt wasn’t just dark romance. It was straight up abuse and the relationship between Rika and Micheal was toxic af. It’s insane to me how Rika married Micheal despite him allowing his friends to harass and abuse her physically and mentally.
I even read Kill Switch because I wanted to see the character development for Damon and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but his CD was better than Micheal.
