I had the book on pre-order and it arrived today. I didn’t have high hopes based on the couple of pictures on Amazon. It’s 30-some pages with one page having a sentence or two with an illustration on the opposing page. The pictures are all like the cover or worse. The story is a very light touch of a deeper idea about the progress of civilization. At a guess, I think Watterson did more of the writing and Kascht did more of the art, but who knows. I can see why it got little press attention. Unless you’re such a diehard fan of Watterson where you need your collection to be complete (like me), there isn’t much reason to buy this for $20.
