Looking a recommendation for a book that evokes a sense of nostalgia for growing up in simpler times, maybe coming of age in rural American South. Would love to keep it between 20’s-60’s (+/-)

Would prefer to steer clear from too much racial conflict and lesson because it was a huge part of my focus last year so I need something a little lighter for some long drives and plane rides. Don’t really want fantasy but wouldn’t mind time hopping or multiple timelines/POVs.
Maybe Stephen King’s The Body meets 11/22/63 meets Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants meets Somewhere in Time.
