I want the action to be cool yet funny without being overly forced to the extent that it becomes cringe-worthy. It should have a fantasy element, but not excessively fantastical to the point where it feels unrealistic – something that can still be imagined in a real-life setting. The love interest should develop gradually, with a slow burn, and I prefer it not to be the central focus of the book. I don’t want them to be flirty; instead, I desire a slow burn that evolves into a deep and meaningful love.
